We’re all going to Survive COVID-19

Good Morning!

I am not sure about you but I found that I do not have a comfortable

location in my house for my laptop and a bad wrist. I am on my second location in the

house and rely on shoe boxes and books for computer and keyboard height!

Moving and stretching during the workday have become a necessity.

Previously, we took it for granted that we would go to the gym before or

after work or when the mood struck. Now that your favorite gym is closed, you need

to be sure you are finding time to exercise and take care of yourself.  The

good news is that there are plenty of ways to squeeze in a solid

no-equipment workout in a short amount of time. The internet is full of ideas and you

don’t even need fancy equipment.  There are even workouts showing you how to use

household items you already have on hand!

Another great place to find motivation, exercise ideas and connection is Facebook.  While we continue to strive for a balanced, healthy lifestyle we can now support and encourage each other.

Facebook some say it helps.  For those of you that don’t have Facebook or didn’t go to the gym on a regular basis, it is even more important to get in some type of activity each day for your self-care.

Check out the attached, it has a few ideas for exercising at your desk and

if you have resistance bands at home, be sure to look at page 2 .

As we continue to travel down the COVID-19 trail, please remember to take

care of your teammates.  Teleworking and / or social distancing may cause some to

become discouraged and lonely.  So, how can you help?  Contact them the old

fashion way – pick up the phone.  Just a simple call to say hello and laugh

can make a big difference in their day.  Although we are working apart, we

can still stay connected.  Don’t think of it as “social distancing” but

“physical distancing.”  Keep the “social” in your day.
